The basics

Snug little festival in the North Italian hills.

The festival

Andrea? Andrea? No, silly-kins, Mandrea. Mandrea is a festival in Italy with a burgeoning reptuation and a truly eclectic mix of musical tastes. Whether you're here for the sun, the mountains or the fountains of music on offer, there will be something for you.

Mainly a reggae, dub and folk festival, Mandrea brings with it a host of other delights, including a shisha tent (don't tell Roy Hodgson), art installations, rock climbing, and a zen centre for you to calm down your little head. What's more, the festival is located in and around the stunningly beautiful Lago de Garda (check out our Italian), with lakes (obvy) and castles galore.

Our tip

Check out the Senegalese tent for something a little different. Also, if you have a few days, check out Lake Garda. The largest lake in Italy, it's absolutely fab.
