The festival
UTOPiAfest is set in the aptly named town Utopia. Nestled in the West Texas Hill Countryside on the 1,000 acre Four Sisters Ranch, the festival takes place at the bottom of a valley in a natural amphitheatre - creating the ideal acoustics.
UTOPiAfest is unlike any other. Claiming to provide 'quality over quantity', unlike the heavyweights on the festival scene, Utopia has just 2 stages and 2,000 revellers - so you can expect new friendships to flourish. As well as improving overal audience experience, it also ensures no queuing and no lineup clashes. 2014's headliners included the likes of Cold War Kids, Father John Misty, Warpaint, Kishi Bashi, and Keller Williams.
Sticking to their free and fun loving nature, the festival is also BYOB, provides free camping, free parking, free water, and free activities including disc golf, yoga, a silent disco, and various kids workshops. This might just be the most easy going festival yet.
Our tip
When making your way to the festival site make sure you take a map old school style - GPS does not work in Utopia.
