The festival
The world has fallen in love with Nordic cool and it’s heartening to see that even their festivals seem to slot into this environmentally friendly, kooky, humanistic label.
With a mix of Scandinavian artists and indie bands and DJs, Way Out West prefers to be in a city and not offer camping to minimise its impact on the local landscape. This forward thinking festival has also reduced its carbon footprint even further.
While all catering on site is under the helm of acclaimed local organic chefs, it’s also all veggie, so this isn’t the place for you if you’re only interested in greasy burgers or a kebab. Still if you’re feeling right on and fancy big names this summer with a touch of Swedish chic, head Way Out West.

Getting there
How do I get there?
If you are traveling from another city or town in Sweden or Scandinavia we recommend that you take the train to and from Gothenburg. You can find train times, routes and book tickets here (Swedish Railways website). For those of you travelling from outside of Scandinavia you can find travel tips here
Using public transport: For longer journeys in Gothenburg use the bus or tram. The nearest bus/tram stop is either Linnéplatsen or Marklansgatan. Information and timetables can be found here.
