With huge tunes, a solid list of food trucks and (hopefully) sun-soaked Suffolk countryside, Red Rooster festival is the perfect weekender for friends, families and general Americana nerds.
Between 31 May and 2 June, the picturesque grounds of Euston Hall play host to the world's finest artists in soul, blues, Americana and R&B (the old-school kind). And this year's lineup is an absolute belter, with sets from Missouri-based bluegrass legend Pokey Lafarge and NYC's best-loved blues bashers Daddy Long Legs.
But the lineup isn't all American, there'll also be folk and blues from UK bands like The Bonnevilles, Worry Dolls and the party-starting Alabama 3 and – if you're feeling particularly cultural – you'll be able to get your ears around some French chanson with Sarah Olivier.
Food-wise, Red Rooster takes its cues from the Deep South. Expect gumbo from Colonoel Tom's, fried chicken from Mother Clucker and all-out BBQ carnage from Man Meat Fire. For veggies and vegans, there's meat-free junk food from Club Mexicana, too. Epic.
