The basics

Quirky boutique festival in Hampshire, where eco credentials and great music sit side by side.

The festival

From tiny roots, this boutique festival in Hampshire has risen in prominence while remaining small and friendly at heart. While the names aren’t exactly chart-troubling, they’re exactly what Blissfield devotees want – quirky, interesting and as up-for-it as they are.

On the bill you'll see everything from dub and DJ sets, to folk and gypsy punk.

Away from the festival’s main hub, the Hidden Hedge has grown from a small, secret gathering in the trees on the periphery to a late night fixture where DJs play to blissed-out dancers around light installations and a fire pit. Each year there’s a theme, too, and this time it’s Walk on the Wild Side – with so much going on around you, that shouldn’t be too hard.

Our tip

To help keep the site tidy, Blissfields has introduced a rubbish bond. Pay £5 on entry and you’ll be given a rubbish bag, which you can return, full, at the end to get your £5 back – or, return it during the festival to get a £7 bar voucher instead.
