The basics
Long-running country music love-in, where else but in Nashville, Tennessee.
The festival
A vet of the festival scene by more than four decades, CMA is a country music mecca in the heart of Music City where the great, good and up-and-comers play to big, partisan crowds.
Normally home to the Tennessee Titans, (gimme a C! Gimme a M! Gimme an A!) the gigantic Nissan Stadium presents the main ticketed event but there is also plenty of free music and activities around the city too. You can catch the biggest names in country throughout the four-day festival, as well as an authentic Tennessee atmosphere including honkytonks, Southern food and loads of entertainment.
The CMA Music festival’s everything you’d expect from Nashville’s flagship summer event, which might be getting on a bit, but refuses to show its age one bit.
Our tip
Head to the Fan Fair X in the Music City Centre to bag the stars’ autographs, though if it’s big names you’re looking for you might need a ticket to get into signing sessions – check online to find out.
