The basics

Bulgaria may not be known for its skiing as much as France or Austria, but don't let that put you off visiting this awesome festival in the snow.

The festival

The festivities kick off in Bansko, which is the biggest resort in Bulgaria, so you know this one's gonna be BIG. Or BIG UP. Because it's high up? Naa? Ok.

Anyway, hit the slopes during the day, then head on down to the stage (after a shower you dirty ape) to suck in some booming bass music. Oh, and when we say 'stage', we actually mean 'stages', because there's 30 of the bastards dotted around the resort. They're not just your standard venues either, they range from abandoned warehouses to medieval banquet halls.

If you want to mix snowsports with throwing ab-dabs in front of a deafening DJ, then Horizon is perfect for it.

Our tip

Fancy eating like a king but don't have the money? Don't worry your empty little pockets, you can eat out in Bansko for as little as a fiver.
