The basics

Hungry for hedonism? Grab a ticket to Love International, promising a week of electronic dance music, boat parties, beaches, a legendary nightclub and epic sunrises.

The festival

As a wise man once said, you'll sleep when you're dead. So while you're alive, head to Croatia for Love International, a week-long party filled with legendary DJs, boat parties and beachside debauchery on the Croatian coastline.

It is yet another genius creation from Team Love, the group behind the Bristol-based Festival Love Saves the Day, so expect a lineup of unmissable DJs from Bristol and beyond. With Chaos in the CBD, Horsemeat Disco, Shanti Celeste and Palms Trax playing this year, it's set to be a knockout.

Love International is the perfect marriage of festival and holiday, set amid sprawling pine trees, rocky outcrops and crystal-clear Adriatic waters in Tisno, a small Croatian town that is walkable from end to end. This is a marathon of a festival with various stages, legendary onsite nightclub Barbarella's and Sunrise Sessions at the Olive Grove, offering 24 hours of fun. When you're not cutting shapes on land, take to the seas and tear up the d-floor on one of the many boat parties scheduled throughout the week, or equally grab your towel and sunbathe on the shores as you reminisce (and wince) about the night before. Taking place in mid-july means sublime weather is definitely on the cards. Pack a bikini, factor 50 and a box of alka seltzer and you’re good to go.

In terms of sleeping arrangements (if you ever get there), there's a range of options from onsite apartments, camping, glamping, hostel-style mobile homes and quirky Airstream trailers. You can also book an Airbnb in Tisno, but bear in mind these often come at a premium and may require undesirable journeys from the festival at ungodly hours.

If you want to take a break from the festival madness, you're based in the charming town of Tisno with tranquil beaches, restaurants and bars. Equally travel further afield to Krka National Park or the island of Hvar for a wholesome day trip.

Our tip

Buy boat party tickets on Resident Advisor once they are released around March to April, as they will be sure to sell out.

Getting there

How do I get there?

By plane: Zadar is the nearest airport which is only 40 mins by car. Split is 60 mins and Zagreb 3 hours by car. These journey times are for the highway route and will take a little longer by bus or coach.

From the airport to the festival: it is worth booking an organised airport coach transfer through Shuttle Tours, who will bring you from Zadar or Split airport with lots of other festival revellers direct to Tisno. Alternatively there are buses from all airports to the main centre bus terminals, and from all cities you will find regular buses to Zadar or Sibenik. Once at Zadar or Sibenik bus terminal, take a local bus to Tisno. For details on how to get from Zagreb airport to Tisno by public bus email info@thegardenzadar.com.
